What would you be divulging were I to pay you four-thousand yen?

*chuckles* The information you asked for, of course. If I told you now, paying me would be useless. I've been at this game a very long time. Loose lips are the fall of a great business.

Four-thousand yen is a bit much though, however there are possibilities of unfortunate events happening if the truth isn't revealed.

I suppose so. Again, that's more classified information. The manger and his store could be perfectly safe... or in danger. I'm might be endangering myself by giving out this information~

Based on your occupation I can assume you've dealt with even more classified information. However you do bring up a good point as to whether or not the bookstore really is at risk.

*he just smiles and shrugs* If you want the information, make your payment. If not, this conversation is starting to get dull~

*leans back with a dry smile* Hm, I guess I don't have much of a choice if I want to keep the bookstore safe for sure from any possible shadows lurking around. *places payment on the table* I hope my efforts aren't in vain.

Oh? You think that you'll be able to keep it safe on you're own? *chuckles* It's always one of you. One of you who decides they want to play human. One of you who thinks they can take charge of the situation with just a little bit of information. Then suddenly, they're under the delusion they understand the entire picture.
*straightening, he gathers up his payment and pockets the bills* It seems that the son of your manager has asked for one too many favours from the wrong family. He's been throwing around the name as a threat with the assumption that they'd always be there to back him up. As with most yakuza families, they don't enjoy being used as a little boy's play thing. It would seem... they finally decided to take action.

I will do what I can within my power. It would be foolish to imply that I can stop organizations from the underground of Ikebukuro seeing as I have no known ties to influential people of that sort. However if someone from the surface is swallowed up by messing with the Yakuza, then I will make plans so that fool doesn't take everybody down with him.
*sighs* It seems that someone has already ventured too far into dangerous territory. As long as my manager doesn't do something extremely stupid the bookstore is prepared for any changes in management in case the current finds life too hard.

You're a brave one. So very confident. I'm impressed; it seems that you're not nearly as gentle as you appear to be. I'm impressed. Of course, I wouldn't try to dapple in the game of the underground too much. *smiles* It's a very hard one to quit once you get drawn in. It'd be a pity to see you stuck in the same situation. Your poor manager already has one idiot to deal with.

Is that what happened to you Informant-san? Has the allure of knowing everyone's secrets drawn you in?
A person must adapt to face the obstacles ahead. I can't afford to be gentle when dealing with matters like this. You of all people should know how temperamental the affairs of the underground are.

The allure of knowing secrets? You make me sound like a teenage girl who loves rumours. I am an informant, nothing more. I'm good at my job. It's fun. It gives me a lot of time to interact and play with my humans. What more could I want in a job?
I do know the underground well, but the underground also knows me. I, unlike you, am untouchable. I'm hard to pin down~ You, however... Well. *smiles* A little girl can be thrown in a cage with ease.

Although it is good to like your job, having humans as toys can be a dangerous game. There is no such thing as an untouchable person, only a person who tries to be as untouchable as possible. There will always be someone who can harm you.
It's true, I could easily be overtaken by the underground and no one would notice my absence, but only if I don't watch where I step.

Dangerous? Never~ The key to having your toys last a lifetime is knowing how to play with them. The only person in this world who can harm me is Shizu-chan--and he doesn't have a hope of doing that unless he learns how to aim.
Watching where you step only keeps you safe for so long. One girl with no contacts or help against the underworld? Good luck~

Arrogance is the downfall of many people. No one can control everything and people that try ultimately fail in doing so.
I honestly have no intention of involving myself in the underworld any more than what is necessary. Going too deep into the underworld without a good reason could end with the bookstore up in flames.
